Macaroni And Cheese

I tried a baked mac n cheese recipe before and that turned out disastrous so I decided to give a no-bake mac n cheese recipe. Turned out tasty!





Serves: 2-3

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
8 ounces elbow noodles (2 cups)
1 1/2 cups low-fat milk, divided
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
3/4 cup shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Bring medium-large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta about 8 minutes. Drain.

2. Heat 1 cup of milk in another large pot on medium-high heat until just simmering. In a large bowl, pour in the rest of the milk. Add flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Add flour mixture to in milk. Return to simmer and constantly whisking until the mixture thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add shredded cheeses until cheeses melt.

3. Add the pasta into the cheese and stir until all pasta is covered with cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.
