Hasselback Potatoes

Simple, and healthier than french fries and tastier than just plain baking a potato.

Serves 2

Ingredients:
- 2 medium to large potatoes, washed
- 2 cloves of garlic, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoon of olive oil
- 10g of butter
- Sea salt or regular salt
- Black pepper

Preheat the oven to 425F.

Wash the potatoes. I like to use a plate with sides to assist me with making the slits without accidentally cutting all the way through. Place the potato on its flat side on the plate. Make slits 3mm to 4mm apart.

Place the garlic into each of the slits and place the butter on top of each potato. Drizzle olive oil on the potatoes and sprinkle salt and pepper.

Bake potatoes for 45-60 minutes. They will look done the flesh is soft.

  1. Wow! I've never heard of this before. It looks delicious! Reminds me of when i ate a baked potato every day at the dining commons.
