Creamed Corn

A simple side dish.




Serves 4

Ingredients:
- 1/2 C heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 C milk (I use non-fat milk and it works great)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 16 oz bag of frozen whole kernel corn (sweet if you can find it)
or
- 2 can of 8 oz kernel corn
- 1 Tbs butter
- 2 Tbs all purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp black pepper

In a large pan on medium high heat, add milk, whipping cream, sat, and sugar. Bring to a boil and add corn. Bring back to a boil.

In a small sauce pan or microwave melt the butter and dissolve flour in butter. Add this mixture to the corn. Stir and combine. Reduce heat to medium or low and allow it to thicken. Turn off heat, add black pepper and season to taste.
