My ID fellow is gluten insensitive so I made flour-less chocolate cookies at the end of my rotation.

Green Tea Latte

This is one of my favorite drinks at Starbucks. Unfortunately, it is ridiculously expensive there. I was determined to enjoy this heavenly drink without the price.

Corn Potato Chowder

Now that it is my fourth year in medical school, I have a bit more free time. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I usually look for recipes online. This is one I have bookmarked from a while ago. I love creamy white soups!

Chicken Piccata

I get my recipe ideas from websites but also from magazines. For two years, I had a subscription to EW. I found the recipe for chicken piccata my favorite dish from the cheesecake factory. Unfortunately, this dish isn't quite as tasty as the one from the Cheesecake Factory but it is a lot healthier!

Chocolate Cupcakes

For my birthday, I asked for a cupcake baking pan. I asked and my bestie came through. This is my very first batch of cupcakes. It may look a bit strange; I am still learning out to put the frosting on but everyone says it was tasty. Easy recipe.

Scallion Pancake with Fried Egg

This is not a recipe for making scallion pancakes from scratch but more of how to get the fried egg on top of the scallion pancake. One day, I will have an entry on how to make scallion pancakes.
I recently discovered scallion pancakes, from my Taiwanese boyfriend. It is pretty tasty. Anyway, I was on facebook and saw a picture of my friend's dinner with his parents. There were scallion pancakes with fried eggs on top. I asked my boyfriend, "Is this a thing?" He replied that it is a popular Taiwanese dish. I attempted to look online for recipes on how to make it but to no avail.

Caprese Salad

Hello! I am back! I just finished up my third year of medical school with two months of the time consuming surgery rotation. I am currently studying for my boards. I went to the grocery store a couple weeks ago and they had mozzarella cheese on sale. Yay! This caprese salad is perfect for a hot summer day. It is a light snack and also so yummy.

Chicken Corn Egg-Drop Soup

It really irks me when people lie with their recipes. I found this recipe through foodgawker and its title was "Authentic Cantonese Corn Soup." The author isn't even Cantonese and no offense but Cantonese people don't use egg or corn in their soups. This is your typical Americanized Chinese dish. More of a modified egg drop soup. Anyway, it was still tasty so here it is.

Roast Lemon Pepper Brussels Sprouts

After eating at David Burke's in Chicago, I have been in love with Brussels Sprouts. They are just mini lettuce balls and pretty easy to cook. I don't like buying lettuce since they are so big and I am just one person.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

I have never been to Red Lobster but everyone raves about the the biscuits. Now you can buy the biscuit mix! It is so good! My boyfriend says it tastes just like the Red Lobster biscuits! You can buy the mix on Amazon, Sam's Club, or Walmart but please don't go to Walmart. Walmart treats their employees like crap.

Soy Sauce Eggs (Shoyu Tamago)

Hello! Welcome to 2014! I had a crazy last couple of months with being on my Internal Medicine rotation. I was so busy that I ended up buying paper plates and plastic forks so I didn't have to do dishes. Anyway, I have some weekends on my new rotation so hopefully I will be adding more entries.

I realized I mainly make American food so I am going to explore my Asian heritage by learning some Asian recipes. This one is pretty simple and tasty.
