Chocolate Chip Cookies

Every time Willie visits we try to make some cookies for him to bring home. This time its chocolate chip cookies. I used mini chocolate chips. =]

Batches: 4

Prep Time: 15 minutes +

Cook Time: 10 minutes a batch

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups flour
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon hot water
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F
In a big bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth
Beat in one egg at a time and stir in vanilla (we like to use a bit more vanilla to give the cookies an extra kick)
Dissolve baking soda in hot water
Add to batter with salt
Stir in flour
Roll dough into 1.5 inch diameter balls and place on baking sheet 1.5 inches apart
(We placed the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to manipulate)
Bake for 10 minutes
Let cool before enjoying
