Taste more impressive than it looks. This was mouth watering good! Not only is sourdough one of the best bread known to man, adding butter and Monterrey jack cheese makes this the second best bread I have ever eaten (my favorite is garlic bread)
Serves: 3-4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
1 unsliced loaf of sourdough bread
12-16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup finely diced green onion
Baking pan
Aluminum foil
Directions:
1) Pre-heat over to 350F
2) Slice bread length-wise and width-wise without going through the bottom.
3)Place slice cheese between the slits. (Don't use shredded cheese! I did this and it was a hassle, took longer, and didn't come out as aesthetically appeasing)
4)Drizzle melted butter over the bread and sprinkle the green onion on top.
5)Wrap up in aluminum foil and place on top of baking pan. Toss in oven for 15 minutes.
6) Unwrap the aluminum foil and return to the oven for 10 minutes.
ENJOY!
