Fried Garlic Topped Noodles with Sweet Soy Sauce
Serves: 2
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
Noodles
- 2 handfuls of Shanghi Noodles
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 pieces of chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- handful of slices mushrooms
- 1 stalk of green onions, chopped
- 1 broccoli, chopped into small pieces, remove outer layer from stalks
- 2 tablespoon of corn starch
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Sauce
- 1 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
Directions:
- Cook noodles and then rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.
- Leave in cold water while you cook the other ingredients
- In a pan, fried the garlic in oil on medium-high heat until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes
- Remove from pan and keep for later use
- In the same pan, add some more oil and toss in the broccoli and mushrooms.
- Pour in some water to steam cook the broccoli and mushrooms.
- Pour more water if necessary to cook the broccoli to semi-soft
- Take out broccoli and mushrooms
- Pour out excess water from pan
- Add more oil and slightly fry the green onions for 2-3 minutes
- Remove green onions from pan
- Coat the chicken with corn starch and soy sauce
- Toss into pan with oil in medium-high heat
- Cook for 3-5 minutes
- Add the noodles into the pan
- For the sauce, in a bowl mix the oyster sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce
- Pour over noodles and make sure all the noodles are covered with the sauce
- Add in the garlic, mushrooms, broccoli, and green onions
- Serve while hot
- Enjoy!
